Remembrance: Butterfly release event - August

August 20, 2022 - 2nd Annual Butterfly Release and Remembrance of Loved Ones Lost in the Opioid Crisis

This event also acknowledges National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day (August 21), as so many of our loved ones lost their lives to illicit fentanyl poisoning.

The OASIS program  is designed specifically to honor the lives of our loved ones  lost to substance-related causes.  Members of the community and leaders from various faiths come together in an ecumenical gathering to remember them.

This special remembrance unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, grandchildren gone too soon.

This is believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe. This creates a worldwide 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone.
